World-class personal trainer Skyler Tanner more than doubled the amount of business Smart Strength gets in just a little over a year
Skyler Tanner is the most featured guest to-date on Corporate Warrior, and for quite a number of good reasons: in addition to being a well-regarded exercise physiologist, an analytics professional, a world-class personal trainer, having given lectures and presentations in a variety of conferences and media platforms, and having been featured in mainstream outlets such as FOX and Prevention Magazine, Skyler is incredibly sharp and entertaining.
In this episode, Skyler goes into detail about how he started and scaled Smart Strength into the robust HIT establishment it is today, particularly the story of how he was able to more than double the amount of business it generates in just over a year’s time.

This episode is brought to you by ARXFit.com, ARX are the most innovative, efficient and effective all-in-one exercise machines I have ever seen. I was really impressed with my ARX workout. The intensity and adaptive resistance were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I love how the machine enables you to increase the negative load to fatigue target muscles more quickly and I love how the workouts are effortlessly quantified. The software tracks maximum force output, rate of work, total amount of work done and more in front of you on-screen, allowing you to compete with your pervious performance, to give you and your clients real-time motivation.
As well as being utilised by many HIT trainers to deliver highly effective and efficient workouts to their clients, ARX comes highly recommended by world-class trainers and brands including Bulletproof, Tony Robbins, and Ben Greenfield Fitness. To find out more about ARX and get $1,000 OFF software licensing fees, please go to ARXfit.com and mention Corporate Warrior in the how did you hear about us field.

You’re killing me, guys! Excellent episode but I need that extra hour that Skyler promised at the end, you’re just dangling it out there………
The hour was the last hour! I wasn’t sure if I’d only have 30 more minutes or 60 when I got the ping.
No lol, when you were discussing low carb/fasting/nutrition etc you said something like “this could be another whole hour’s topic!” I’d love to get an in depth discussion from you on the topic.
thanks Andrew. check out Skyler’s follow-up blog post: https://skylertanner.com/2017/11/27/additional-answers-for-6th-corporate-warrior-appearance/
I like the idea of the break in period where instructor and client can get in sync.
😀 *thumbs up*
Was the 84-85 sessions mentioned near the beginning of the podcast per week or per month?
Hey Nathan – that was per week. I just checked in with Skyler and he’s maintaining that number.
That’s awesome volume.
