Recently, I removed the Disqus comments plugin from the website because I did not like the native advertising and search engines were having a hard time indexing the comments for search. And when you have thousands of comments across a blog, it is smart to have them indexed for SEO purposes.
In any case, we moved back to WordPress native comments, which don’t look that fancy but are simple, easy to use, have no forced advertising, and get indexed better by search engines.
Unfortunately, in the process of deleting Disqus, it seems we have lost 50+ comments over the last 5 or 6 blog posts. I am incredibly sorry if your comment was deleted. I believe it was because Disqus had not yet synced those comments to my WordPress. I am trying my best to work with Disqus to try and restore these lost comments, but so far I have been told that they have been deleted and are irretrievable.
I will do everything possible to have them restored, but it does not look promising. Please accept my sincere apologies, and please don’t stop commenting going forward. If you are able to re-publish your comment that would be really appreciated. I will ensure that a robust back up is put in place to prevent this from happening in the future.
